Potsdam-Rehbrücke, Germany
The Department of Molecular Metabolism and Precision Nutrition (PI Olga Ramich, https://www.dife.de) investigates hormonal and molecular mechanisms involved in the nutritional regulation of the human metabolism and in the pathogenesis of metabolic diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Currently, the focus of the department lies on the role of the circadian clock in metabolic regulation by nutrition. To expand this research line, we are looking for a dedicated research associate / postdoc with an expertise in chronobiology.

Your area of responsibility:
– Conducting cell culture experiments on the metabolic and nutritional regulation of circadian clocks
– Characterization of circadian rhythms using bioluminescent reporters
– Analysis and quantification of circadian rhythms by rhythm analysis software (Cosinor J, JTC cycle etc.)
– Rhythm analysis in human 24-hous time series data and omics data
– Writing presentations and publications
– Supervision of master and doctoral thesis in medicine and natural science
– Independent application for the third-party funding
Your profile:
– Master and doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, nutritional sciences or similar (f/m/d)
