Lighten Up! On Biology and Time

Lighten Up! features fifteen artists with eighteen immersive artworks, installations, and experiential environments related to circadian and seasonal rhythms, sleep and light.
The exhibition was originally presented by EPFL Pavilions in Lausanne, Switzerland, curated by Anna Wirz-Justice, Marilyne Andersen, Sarah Kenderdine, and Giulia Bini.Of special interest to chronobiologists is the interactive screen installation of the history and science of chronobiology developed by Anna Wirz-Justice with Bharath Ananthasubramaniam, Steven A. Brown, Horacio O. de la Iglesia, Diego A. Golombek, Carl Johnson, Till Roenneberg, & W.J. Schwartz (web version on chronobiology.srbr.org)
Panel Discussion and Opening Reception
Tuesday, October 28 6:30pm - 8:30pm
The evening will feature a panel discussion with Marilyne Andersen, physicist and curator, artist Alan Bogana, and Harvard Professor of Neurobiology Elizabeth Klerman, moderated by MIT Museum Director Michael John Gorman, followed by a reception where visitors can explore the exhibition.
