Regular Membership

Regular SRBR Members are individuals engaged in biological rhythms research, broadly defined. Regular Members enjoy full privileges in the Society, complimentary subscription to the Journal of Biological Rhythms, our cherished and highly ranked journal. This complimentary subscription includes the online version and optional print issues at no extra cost to you. Additionally, you have access to our interactive website, meeting registration at a reduced rate, and the right to vote for SRBR officers and Executive Committee members-at-large.

To join the Society or renew as a Regular Member, complete the online application. New applications also must include a curriculum vitae and bibliography, sent to the Society’s Administrative Coordinator at info@srbr.org for review by the Membership Committee.

Membership Benefits include:

  • Discounted registration for the SRBR meeting
  • Online access to “Members Only” materials, including chronobiology teaching materials
  • The SRBR Newsletter
  • Voting in SRBR elections

The Regular membership fee is $100.

Trainee Membership

Trainee SRBR Members are individuals enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral training programs in biological rhythms, broadly defined. Trainee Members pay lower membership dues than Regular Members. Trainee Members do not have voting privileges. Trainee Member privileges include a complimentary subscription to the Journal of Biological Rhythms, our cherished and highly ranked journal. This complimentary subscription includes the online version and optional print issues at no extra cost to you. Additionally, you have access to our interactive website (which will includes online job postings), meeting registration at a reduced rate, and opportunities to participate in Trainee Day and to apply for travel awards.

To join the Society as a Trainee Member, complete the online application, submit a curriculum vitae and bibliography, and arrange for an email verifying Trainee status to be sent by your supervisor, department chair or program director to the Society’s Administrative Coordinator at info@srbr.org for review by the Membership Committee.

  • Eligibility for Trainee Travel Awards
  • Priority Admission to Trainee Events at the SRBR meeting

The Trainee membership fee is $50.

Emeritus Membership

Emeritus SRBR Members are individuals retired from full-time employment who have been a Regular Member of the Society for at least 10 years prior to seeking Emeritus status. Emeritus Members will pay dues at the “Trainee” rate. After 10 years in Emeritus Member status, membership fees will be waived. Emeritus Members retain full membership privileges, including a subscription to the Journal of Biological Rhythms and the right to vote in SRBR elections.

To apply for Emeritus Membership, complete the online application. New applicants also must send an email affirming eligibility to the Society’s Administrative Coordinator at info@srbr.org for review by the Membership Committee.

The Emeritus membership fee is $50.

It is important to promptly renew in order to receive ALL the benefits of your membership regarding the Journal of Biological Rhythms. Prompt renewal is the only way to ensure that the print subscription will continue without interruption; the publisher will no longer provide back issues in hard copy.

Please note that membership runs on a calendar year (January-December), so if you wait until late in the year to join/renew for that year, you will have to renew again by January 1 to continue your membership for the following year.
For example, if you join/renew for 2016 in October 2016, you will need to renew again by January 1, 2017 to continue your membership for 2017 and receive JBR without interruption.
