Postdoctoral Fellow – Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin

The Chronobiology Division (PI Achim Kramer, see www.achim-kramer-lab.de) investigates the molecular basis of circadian rhythms and is an internationally leading laboratory in the field of chronobiology and circadian medicine. As part of the German Research Foundation-funded Collaborative Research Center TRR 186 “Molecular Switches”, we are looking for a dedicated research associate / postdoc.

Project duration: 01.07.2024 – 30.06.2028

Your area of responsibility:
– Characterization of single cell circadian rhythms using live-cell fluorescence microscopy
– Use of advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques (FLIM-FRET, FCS)
– Analysis and quantification of single-cell circadian rhythms
– Writing presentations and publications
– Supervision of students (lab rotation, bachelor, master)

Your profile:
– Successfully completed studies as a (molecular) biologist / biochemist / cell biologist / biotechnologist / biophysicist or similar (f/m/d)
– Scientific doctorate (biology, biochemistry, biophysics or similar)
– Experience in live-cell fluorescence microscopy
– Experience in general molecular and cell biology methods
– Experience in data analysis using R, Python or comparable
– High ability to work in a team and flexibility as well as very good communication and organizational skills
– Confident handling of common Microsoft Office applications
– Very good knowledge of English
