The Society for Research on Biological Rhythms (SRBR) is dedicated to advancing rigorous, peer-reviewed science and evidence-based policies related to sleep and circadian biology. Established in 1986, SRBR is an organization of international scientists, clinicians, and industry experts who promote basic and applied research in all aspects of biological rhythms. Through its meetings, journal, and website, SRBR aims to support, educate, engage, and welcome scientists of all nationalities. SRBR advocates for research on sleep and other biological rhythms by informing government leaders and the public about the need for robust funding and other support and its positive impact on human health and economy. Additionally, SRBR greatly invests in early career professionals as they strive to build their knowledge, grow in their careers and advance the field.

The SRBR Pioneer Program will recognize and honor a special group of chronobiologists and sleep scientists who helped make SRBR what it is today. They are individuals who provided leadership in the field of biological rhythms and sleep, made significant contributions to our society and official journal, or engaged in research training and mentoring for many members of our community.

The Emmett Chappelle Awards aim to stimulate underrepresented minorities (URM) attendance to the SRBR meeting. The award will cover a portion of meeting and travel expenses. Emmett Chappelle Awardees will enjoy opportunities to develop a peer network and participate in the largest gathering of the chronobiology community. The Global Diversity Fellowship Campaign aims to support the SRBR mission to serve the international science community. GD Fellowships provide travel funds for successful applicants from nations typically underrepresented at the SRBR meeting or those listed by the World Bank as low-to-middle income.
