SRBR 2022 Biennial Conference

SRBR 2022 Overview

SRBR 2022 BIENNIAL CONFERENCE

The Society of Research on Biological Rhythms is pleased to announce the 2022 Biennial Conference will be hosted in-person at Omni Amelia Island Resort in beautiful Amelia Island, Florida!

The theme of the 2022 meeting reflects the extent to which biological clocks impact essentially all aspects of ecology, physiology, and disease in a wide variety of species and will highlight the relevance of biological clocks to both science and society. In recent years, discoveries regarding the role that biological clocks play in human health have exploded, revealing the importance of such clocks for sleep, metabolism, cardiovascular disease, mental health, aging, and cancer. We have reached an exciting time when discoveries first reported at previous SRBR meetings are being applied to the understanding and treatment of human disease and the planning of heathier communities.

In addition to our extensive scientific program, the SRBR meeting holds a Trainee Professional Development Day the day before start of the meeting, which provides lectures on topics ranging from the conceptual foundations of the study of biological rhythms, new research tools in chronobiology, to mentoring and grant writing.

Don’t miss your chance to join this incredible meeting of  investigators from around the world. Register for SRBR 2022 today!

Trainee Day is currently oversubscribed. Please click here to be added to the trainee day wait list. We are very sorry about this and will try our best to accommodate everyone.

SRBR Statement on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Society for Research on Biological Rhythms (SRBR) continues to monitor the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is committed to a safe and productive 2022 Meeting.

COVID-19 Code of Conduct & Conference Updates
*Updated March 1, 2022
In pursuit of a safe and healthy meeting for all members of the SRBR community, SRBR has published a COVID-19 Code of Conduct (SRBR Health & Safety Guide) outlining all safety and health policies for the upcoming 2022 Biennial Meeting. In accordance with the agreements signed at the time of registration, all attendees must abide by the policies set in place at the meeting. SRBR reserves the right to update, modify, or remove any or all of these policies at any point in time. Should alterations be made, all registered SRBR attendees will be notified via email.

GUEST TICKETS – Guest tickets for the Opening Reception and Closing Banquet are now available for purchase in the registration module. All guests ages 5 and older are required to submit a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card at the time of ticket purchase. If you have already registered for SRBR 2022 and would like to add guest tickets to either or both of these events, click here to view a guide to updating your registration. For questions, please reach out directly to info@srbr.org

Mandatory Vaccination Policy and Procedures

SRBR is committed to maximizing the safety of all in-person attendees while still providing the best forum for the latest research in scientific sessions, posters, and networking opportunities. Given the recent surge of the COVID-19 Delta variant, SRBR is implementing a mandatory vaccine requirement for all in-person meeting attendees. Entrance to the Conference Center and all designated SRBR meeting spaces will also be limited to registered scientific meeting attendees and staff only. A decision will be made closer to the conference time regarding the attendance of guests accompanying conference participants at the opening reception and closing banquet.

At the time of registration, all registrants will be required to upload a photo of their COVID-19 vaccination card or passport. Those wishing to apply for a medical exemption authorized by their primary care provider may reach out to the SRBR Executive Office at info@srbr.org to request a medical exemption form.

During registration, attendees will also be asked to sign the SRBR Waiver and Release of Liability for Communicable Disease, acknowledging that they understand the risks involved with in-person meetings. Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, SRBR will publish all final safety protocols (in the form of a COVID Code of Conduct) on March 1, 2022 to ensure that the most up-to-date guidance from the CDC is considered. Registrants will receive the COVID Code of Conduct via email and will need to attest that they will comply with these measures.

SRBR understands that the protocols set forth in the COVID Code of Conduct may change your decision to attend SRBR 2022. If you wish to cancel an existing registration, please email the SRBR Executive Office for assistance. Any attendees who register prior to March 1, 2022 and choose to decline attestation to the COVID Code of Conduct published on that date will be eligible for a full registration refund if requested by March 15, 2022.   Cancellations after March 15th will be subject to the conference cancellation policy which will be made knows at the time of your registration.

We strongly recommend that all guests book their resort/villa accommodations under the SRBR Room Block at the Omni Amelia Island Resort.  Please make sure when you book the hotel that you follow the links from the conference registration site to avoid booking on other third-party websites.  If you wish to cancel your hotel reservations, it must be done prior to 12:00pm 5 days prior to arrival to avoid forfeiture of the deposit.  You will be responsible for contacting the hotel directly to cancel your reservation.

For everyone’s health and safety, please know that the SRBR Leadership, 2022 Program Committee and Executive Office are committed to planning a meeting with guidance from the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please reach out to the SRBR Executive Office at info@srbr.org with any questions. We hope to see you in Amelia Island!
